Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Launceston
You have the opportunity to observe some of Tasmania’s unique wildlife species and wilderness areas as well as experiencing a Tasmanian Bush Tucker dinner featuring gourmet game foods, fresh produce and Tassie wines and beers. We return to Launceston between 8.30 - 10.30pm. Overnight - Peppers Seaport Hotel – Dinner on Tour
Day 2 – Depart Peppers Seaport Hotel – 9.00 am
Departing Launceston we make our way to Cradle Mountain visiting Trowunna Wildlife Park on the way to pat a koala, cuddle a wombat and watch the Tasmanian Devils being fed. Continuing our journey we pass through Sheffield “Town of Murals”, an evocative outdoor art gallery overlooked by the grandeur of Mt. Roland and its breathtaking vistas. Overnight – Cradle Mountain Chateau – Dinner inclusive
Day 3 – Cradle Mountain Activities
Today we take in the alpine wilderness and wonderland of Cradle Mountain. We will visit the Cradle Mt. Visitor Centre and take a few gentle interpretive strolls and drive into Dove Lake at the base of the Mountain to take the 2 hour circuit hike of the lake. We will also visit Waldheim Chalet to re-live the hardships endured by Gustav Weindorfer and his family in their dream environment. Transfer to Launceston Airport
