Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Launceston - Gourmet Wilderness and Wildlife Tour
You have the opportunity to observe some of Tasmania’s unique wildlife species and wilderness areas as well as experiencing a Tasmanian Bush Tucker dinner featuring gourmet game foods, fresh produce and Tassie wines and beers. We return to Launceston between 8.30 - 10.30pm. Overnight - Peppers Seaport Hotel – Dinner on Tour
Day 2 – Depart Peppers Seaport Hotel – 9.00 am
Leaving Launceston we travel to Cradle Mountain visiting Trowunna Wildlife Park on the way to pat a koala, cuddle a wombat and watch the Tasmanian Devils being fed. We then drop in on Sheffield “Town of Murals’ before reaching our evening destination. Overnight – Cradle Mountain Chateau – Dinner inclusive
Day 3 – Cradle Mountain Activities
Today we take in the alpine wilderness of Cradle Mountain. We will visit the Cradle Mt. Visitor Centre and take a few interpretive strolls and drive into Dove Lake to take the 2 hour circuit hike of the lake. We will also visit Waldheim Chalet to re-live the hardships endured by Gustav Weindorfer and his family in their dream environment. Overnight – Cradle Mountain Chateau – Dinner inclusive
Day 4 – Depart Cradle Mountain 9.00 am
Making our way back to Launceston we take in the rural country side visiting Ashgrove Cheese Farm and Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm along the way. The afternoon in Launceston will be spent exploring the Cataract Gorge or the vineyards of the Tamar Valley. Overnight – Peppers Seaport Hotel – Dinner Mud Club / Stillwater Restaurant
Day 5 –Transfer to Launceston Airport
