Taste of Tamar Tour

It is difficult to imagine a more perfect drive than a meander through the Tamar vineyards, when the vines are heavy with fruit, the vineyards at peak activity and the river afire with reflected colours.
Itinerary
Depart Launceston – 9.00 am
We take a brief tour of the Launceston city sites and some of its many attractions such as the spectacular Cataract Gorge before making our way down the beautiful Tamar Valley to our first destination at Rosevears Estate. Here its time to kick start the senses and tempt the taste buds with Tassie’s superb cool climate wines.
Departing Rosevears our next stop is Strathlynn Vineyard overlooking the Tamar River and also our lunch destination, and your first introduction to some of Tasmania’s unrivalled fresh local gourmet cuisine and wines, the resident chef Daniel Alps is recognised as one of Australia’s best.
After lunch its time to engage the taste buds and in cruise mode, with a continuation of the vineyard tour through out the beautiful Tamar Valley, one of the largest wine producing regions in Tasmania, renown for its subtle cool climate bouquet wines, as you sip and sample our way through several of Tasmania’s premium vineyards.
Later on in the day we may perhaps make a visit to Bridestowe Lavender farm the largest in the Southern hemisphere a sea of waving fragrance nestled in a stunning rural back drop (seasonal).
From here we continue our journey back up the east Tamar Valley calling into other bouquet vineyards of notoriety before returning back to your accommodation in late afternoon. 5.00pm.
Return to Launceston – Approximately 5.00pm
