Pepper Bush Adventures’ Quoll Patrol features the Company’s unique bush tucker experiences followed by an after dark wildlife encounter focusing on viewing the eastern quoll and other Tasmanian native species in their natural habitat.
Itinerary
Depart Launceston – 12.00 to 2.00 pm (seasonal)
Travel by 4WD vehicle to the North East of Tasmania passing through some spectacular mountain ranges and exploring some unique wilderness areas, stopping to view several natural wonders along the way.
Passing by the foothills of Mt Ben Lomond with an amazing diversity of landscape we then venture over Roses Tier and down through the stunning Tombstone Creek Forest Reserve through magnificent old growth forest.
We then find ourselves on private land, and our dinner destination where you will be introduced to a totally Tasmanian game food experience cooked and served by our own “Bush Chef”. Dinner will be served in a remote location with nature, where you will indulge some of Tasmania’s finest in a relaxed environment with nature, and consumed while sipping on a glass of Tasmanian cool climate wine.
After dinner, our objective is to view the bandit of the bush, the Eastern Quoll in its natural habitat, noted for its daring raids on the farmyard chicken house. These entertaining bush characters will totally delight you with their antics while providing an amazing close encounter with nature.
Wildlife species you may also encounter are possums, wombats, kangaroos, wallaby, bettong, bandicoot, Tasmanian devil and others.
Return to Launceston – Approximately 9.00-11.00 pm (seasonal)
