This package is designed to give you a close encounter with selected species of Tasmanian wildlife. The focus will be on the lifestyle and habitat of the wombat and eastern quoll with Possums, kangaroos, wallaby, bettong and possibly the Tasmanian devil getting in the picture.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Depart Launceston 1.00 – 2.00 pm
Departing Launceston we pass through quaint country towns to find ourselves on the remote northeast corner of Tasmania, the outskirts of the Ringarooma Coastal Reserve. We then venture onto private land, our objective, to have a close encounter with the wombat. With its short tail and legs, characteristic waddle and cuddly appearance the wombat is one of the most endearing of Australia’s native animals. Here you will view its lifestyle and habitat.
For dinner you will experience a unique Tassie Bush BBQ, burgers and Beef. After dinner you will continue our observations of the wombat as well as encounter other species such as possums, quoll, kangaroos, wallaby, bettong and possibly the Tasmanian devil. Overnight – Gladstone Hotel (country pub)
Day 2 – Depart Gladstone Hotel 9.00 am
We make our way to the hinterland to see some spectacular mountain ranges and explore some unique wilderness areas in Mt Victoria Forest Reserve and Ralph Falls in superb undisturbed rainforest. We then travel on to Evercreech Forest Reserve to view the tallest white gum trees in the world.
Next stop is our dinner destination where you will be introduced to a totally Tasmanian gourmet bush tucker experience. After dinner, our objective is to view the bandit of the bush, the Easter quoll in its natural habitat. Species you may also encounter on your journey back to Launceston are possums, kangaroos, wallaby, bandicoot and wombats. Overnight – Peppers Seaport Hotel
Return to Launceston – Approximately 9.00- 11.00pm
