The famous Bedarra Island Resort is situated on the southern end of the island. Due to its exclusivity guests of Bedarra Beach House are not permitted to visit the resort. Location and Transfers Bedarra Beach House is located on Bedarra Island in the tropical waters of Northern Queensland's Great Barrier Reef. Part of the Family group of islands it was first discovered by Captain Cook in 1770. Access is via flight (either charter or scheduled) or launch to Dunk Island. On arrival at Dunk Island guests are transferred to connect with the chartered launch service which takes 20 minutes to Bedarra Island. Transfers are arranged in conjunction with accommodation.
