Relaxation is the catch-cry. Guests can laze around the outdoor heated pool, enjoy a soothing massage and sauna, curl up to read a book on their Lodge Room lounge or balcony or recline in the Library with a volume or two. The Dinks is the Lodge’s challenging 18-hole mini putting golf course available only to guests and there is a 1.6km walking track around the Estate for those that want more activity.

Accommodation at Tower Lodge

Radiating out from Tower Lodge's central courtyard along portico passageways are just 10 individually decorated lodge rooms, plus the Oriental and the Chairman's Suite. All are air-conditioned, furnished with antiques, treasures and collectables, rich fabrics and recycled old timbers. The rooms vary in size, but each features a bedroom area, lounge space and desk, iron and ironing board, music system, IDD telephone, television with pay channels and DVD, plus tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms at Tower Lodge are non-smoking and each has its own special charm. The Lodge Rooms - All 9 Lodge Rooms have king-size beds, and the other (suitable for the disabled) provides two queen beds. All have a dressing room, large bathroom with separate shower and a deep double-spa bath. For guest's comfort, the Lodge provides summer and winter bathrobes and slippers, luxurious amenities, and a professional hairdryer. Some rooms have wood burning fireplaces, others may have a private courtyard, a fountain or a balcony. Tower Lodge - Oriental Room - In addition to all the facilities and the amenities of the Lodge Rooms, this beautiful room features polished timber floors and panelling. The wall spaces embrace Chinese and Oriental artwork hanging alongside Picasso! A serene Buddha meditates at the foot of a superb king bed flanked by authentic Chinese wedding Cabinets. The Oriental Room is decidedly romantic and boasts a rustic outdoor wooden hot tub recessed into a private verandah. Tower Lodge - Chairmans Suite - The Chairman's Suite is a freestanding building complete with it's own Tower and viewing platform boasting opulent charm. The bedroom features a 300 year old, hand carved Rajasthani king bed and opulent sitting area with a Louis writing desk and chair. The marble bathroom has a deep soaking, elevated spa bath and separate shower. Unlike the Lodge guestrooms, the Chairman's Suite has a separate sitting room. This chamber provides an ambient reading space with two leather, wing back chairs placed resplendently at the hearth. NOTE: Due to not only guest decree but also the nature of the architecture, unfenced ponds, fountains and dams on the property we cannot accommodate small children. An exception to this condition is made when one group books the exclusive use of the Lodge. Double doors open onto the terrace for a spacious cocktail party or larger functions utilising both inside and outside, especially good for the warmer months in the Hunter! The Terrace - overlooking surrounding vineyards, this is the perfect spot for an alfresco lunch for a group of friends in summer, or a cocktail party on dusk. Seating up to 100 people, ideal for a garden party wedding. The Private Dining Room - for a more intimate gathering, this cosy room holds up to 40 people, ideal for small functions or meetings. The dining room opens to a small courtyard overlooking the Blaxlands vineyard, just perfect for pre dinner drinks. Nine Restaurant - offers a unique Hunter Valley, intimate and luxurious dining experience. Located nine feet below the surface, Nine is a unique, intimate and luxurious dining experience. The private dining space is surrounded by earthy, rich and warm sandstone and wood surfaces providing an inviting dining experience. Established in 2009, Nine was developed to extend the special experiences that Tower Lodge is renowned for and to provide a new level in dining diversity. Nine can comfortably cater for 2-16 guests enjoying a highly professional French inspired service style ensuring everyone is made feel special. Roberts Restaurant – offers a celebration of fine food and excellent wine. This is the Hunter Valley's premier gastronomic experience. Roberts Restaurant is located at Tower Estate amongst the vineyards in a National Trust slab cottage dated circa 1876 filled with rustic antiques offers charm, elegance and a sense of history. The style of cuisine is Australian contemporary, utilising the fresh seasonal produce on a ˜discovery menu" that reflects Head Chef Daniel Hunts constant innovation. The wine list offers a choice of wines from all over Australia and around the world, and naturally features Tower Estate's own ˜limited edition" wines. Conferences and Corporate Events at Tower Lodge Tower Lodge has been designed as the ultimate meetings, small conference and incentive retreat. Company boards are encouraged to use the Lodge on a sole occupancy basis affording executives total exclusivity. The purpose built conference room offers a quiet haven for gatherings, and ideally caters for up to 20 around the boardroom table. Featured are state-of-the-art audio visual and communications equipment plus a business centre that provides full conference support. Adjacent to the conference room is a charming teahouse for coffee and tea breaks and a separate syndicate room. Dedicated conference stewards ensure the smooth running of every meeting. When the Lodge is taken on a sole occupancy basis we can offer anything from a cocktail reception in the Lounge or courtyard to a 5-course degustation menu in our elegant dining room. Sole occupancy enables the wedding party the freedom to have the ceremony, reception and accommodation all within the ambient spaces of the Lodge.

When guest numbers exceed 24 people, then within the Tower Estate, just a short stroll away is the renowned Robert’s Restaurant that caters to 100+ guests. The opulent Chairman’s Suite with its 300 year-old Rajasthani king bed or decidedly romantic Oriental Room with its luxuriating outdoor wooden hot tub are each ideal for your wedding night.

Weddings at Roberts Restaurant
Tower Lodge take pride and pleasure in ensuring that your wedding day runs perfectly, and that you and your guests will savour the day with wonderful memories. We have several venue options available depending upon the size of your party. A civil ceremony in our gardens, followed by champagne, and then the wedding breakfast in this intimate Cottage setting may be your ideal wedding choice. Although not consecrated, The Chapel is for true romantics, ideal for groups of between 20 and 45 people-fully equipped, air-conditioned and separated from the Restaurant by rows of vines, the Chapel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, with a spacious open area ideal for pre-dinner drinks and canapes. For larger groups, the Restaurant is perfect as your exclusive wedding reception venue.

Tower Lodge Location
Halls Road, Pokolbin - Hunter Valley, New South Wales

Tower Lodge is located on the Tower Estate at Pokolbin in the heart of the Hunter Valley wine region of New South Wales, Australia. (170 km north west of Sydney)

The Lodge is accessible by road from Sydney. (approximately 120 minutes) Travelling north over the Harbour Bridge follow the signs to Newcastle and Freeway 3. Remain on the F3 and exit at the Cessnock signpost. Continue into Cessnock and follow the signs to Branxton/Singleton. After passing Cessnock airport take a left onto Broke Road and the second left is Halls Road and the Tower Estate.

Flying from Sydney airport, takes approximately 25 minutes in a fixed-wing airplane to Cessnock Airport or 40 minutes by helicopter that will land on the Estate.
