Itinerary
Day 1. Broome, Eighty Mile Beach
Depart the historic pearling town of Broome this morning. Visit Eighty Mile Beach, one of Australia’s most pristine beaches, with a huge array of shells scattered on the white sand. Stay: Pardoo Station. Dx1

Day 2. Marble Bar, Newman
Travel to Marble Bar, reputed to be the hottest town in Australia. Stop at the Iron Clad Hotel for a break. Try a beer (own expense) with the locals before heading out to the Coongan River to see the marble bar of Jasper, from which the town gets its name. Then continue on to Newman. Day 3. Mt Whaleback Mine Tour, Karijini National Park
Take a guided tour of the Mt Whaleback iron-ore mine, the largest open-cut mine in the world. Then visit some Aboriginal rock art sites en route to Karijini National Park. Day 4. Karijini National Park
Karijini National Park is famous for its breathtaking gorges, crystal-clear waterfalls, walking trails, swimming holes and pretty landscapes. Today you’ll walk down to see picturesque Fortescue Falls, visit the Visitor Centre and admire the rich red colours from Oxer and Junction Pool Lookouts. Day 5. Hamersley Gorge, Millstream-Chichester National Park
Visit the mining town of Tom Price, then continue onto Hamersley Gorge, a highlight of any trip to the Pilbara. At Millstream-Chichester National Park, explore this lush oasis of deep gorges and palm-fringed pools. Wander around the historic homestead. Later, discover the old coastal town of Cossack before arriving in Karratha. Stay: Karratha International, Karratha. Bx1 Lx1 Dx1

Day 6. Port Headland
Travel to Port Hedland today, a well-established mining town renowned for its extensive exportation of iron ore. Stay: All Seasons Hotel, Port Hedland. Bx1 Lx1 Dx1
