Western Arthur’s Traverse - 13 Days/12 Nights
(1 night hotel – twin share)
Located in the remote South West of Tasmania, the Western Arthurs Traverse presents one of the worlds most challenging bushwalking objectives. Our twelve days in the South-West wilderness allows us enough time to do a complete traverse of the range with extra time for side trips. Starting at Scott's Peak Dam we trek via The Port Davey Track, Moraine A, Mt Hayes, Lake Oberon, Mt Pegusus, Haven Lake, Promontory Lake, Lake Roseanne, Cracroft Crossing and then returning to Scott's Peak Dam via Arthur's Plains and Junction Creek. The Western Arthur's Traverse is open to people with previous unsupported pack carrying, bushwalking experience. A high level of fitness and confidence in difficult, geographical and weather situations is essential. Please contact our office to discuss your suitability for this tour.
