Barossa Daimler's Tours are of the highest quality and no two tours are the same. A tour can be designed to suit your tastes and desires. If it is not wine you have come for, then let the history, culture and beauty unfold as you enjoy a personalised tour of your own. John Baldwin, your personal tour guide, has a great sense of humour and is very personable. His extensive knowledge of the Barossa Valley and its wines has won him tourism awards and is the key to the success of these tours.
Established in 1994, Barossa Daimler Tours were the first Barossa based, private tour operators. Their vehicles are very rare, (only six in Australia) and were brought to Australia for Royal Tours in the sixties. To travel in one of these vehicles is an experience in itself. Our fully licensed and accredited classic 1962 Daimlers are air-conditioned, can seat up to 8 passengers in each vehicle and are exclusive to your party. You will not have to share your tour with strangers. You will meet the winemakers and local characters for a truly memorable insight into the Barossa Valley and its world famous wines.
Barossa Daimler have recently added a 2006 Mercedes 7-seat Viano to their fleet. This modern luxury vehicle is available for Adelaide transfers and also for day and extended touring McLaren Vale, the Clare Valley and the Adelaide Hills.

John and Libby Baldwin have travelled extensively around Australia and throughout the world, and in 1984, decided to settle in the beautiful Barossa Valley. An extensive knowledge and passion for wine, a love of entertaining and meeting people, and a recognition that no-one was looking after the true wine explorer gave John and Libby an idea to begin private wine tours.
Their commitment to quality and John's love affair with wine has seen them become the most awarded tour operators in the Barossa Valley, receiving Best Tour Operator in 1996, 2000 and 2002 and more recently were finalists in the inaugural Australian Travel and Tourism Awards in 2004 for Best Innovative Tourism Experience. On that occasion, the winner was the 'Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb'. The most recent award was the Barossa Service Excellence Award for 2006.

"Cheers John. Just the driver/tour guide, we felt we knew you as a pal after about 5 minutes. The only way to see the Barossa and it's just a shame you had to take us back. I've travelled the world and this is up there with the best of the best. A pleasure."
Derek Lambie, Scottish Sunday Express Editor, (Scotland).
"We had a magical day. Great countryside, great wine, great food, and most of all fantastic company. Thanks again John."
Jeff and Mary, (Yorkshire).
"They say that when travelling it's all about who you travel with. But having a guide who is informative, interesting, funny and great company to boot is just great! Thanks for a fabulous day. Our friends will be along shortly."
Jo and James, (NSW).
