Accommodation at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat
Just ten modern architecturally designed fully self-contained bungalows are spaced well apart and surrounded by trees for maximum seclusion offering guests romance, luxury, privacy and rainforest tranquillity.

Located in a spectacular lush rainforest environment, the architect designed bungalows have been strategically placed within the dense canopy, ensuring total privacy for each cabin and providing natural exposure to the forest.

All bungalows are equal in their quality of fixtures, fittings and furniture. They are all fully self-contained with kitchen facilities and barbeque. Featuring generous use of plantation and native timbers, steel and glass, they are of open plan design with spacious living areas inside and out.

All bathrooms have floor to ceiling glass windows where only the birds and echidnas can peer in, king size beds and a spa bath large enough to share and dissolve the stresses of life or to refresh after a vigorous forest walk. The bungalows differ in their architectural design and layout only. Select the style you believe compliments your feelings.

Luxury Rainforest Lodge (1)
Accommodates one couple (can not accommodate extra adults or children)
The new Luxury Rainforest Lodge, Cedar Lodge has mountain and rainforest views. This lodge is over three hundred metres from the nearest bungalow. The Lodges at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat take another step up in both luxury and sustainable tourism. On the luxury side the lodges are bigger, nearly 200 square metres, with generous deck areas, amazing indoor outdoor marble spa bathrooms and a heated endless plunge pool built into the deck. Using heat pump technology. A romantic and cozy double sided fireplace opening to both the living room and bedroom plus reverse cycle air conditioning, keeps you comfortable all year round.

Combining classic design with modern energy efficient technology. Heat pumps are now becoming more common in Australia and are widely used in Europe as the most efficient source of heating. Extensive use of insulation, clever design and new innovative products like Comfort Plus glass are incorporated into the design. Comfort Plus glass has far better insulating properties than normal glass keeping the heat in, in winter and the sun out in summer. One of the many relatively invisible additions that will make your stay extremely comfortable whilst being gentle the environment. The new series of lodges have everything that our rainforest bungalows have and much more.

Glass Terrace Bungalows (2)

A very spacious open plan bungalow almost totally surrounded by glass, allowing uninterrupted views of the stunning rainforest. The bungalows also boast galley style kitchen, DVD/CD surround sound system, double spa bath and walk-in shower both with rainforest vista. Eight sliding doors open to a large covered deck, where you can prepare your favourite barbeque meal, then relax back and enjoy the forest's serenity.

Rainforest Canopy Bungalows (2)
Accommodates one couple (can not accommodate extra adults or children)
An intimate split level design with oak lined curved ceiling and expansive windows. The lounge/dining/kitchen area opens onto a large deck equipped with barbeque, table setting and lounge chairs where you can enjoy a book or simply lay back, relax and absorb the surrounding beauty. As with all our bungalows the bathroom has a walk-in shower and large sunken spa bath floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pristine rainforest.

Creekside Spa Cabins (2)

The Creekside Spa Bungalow has a fully equipped kitchen overlooking a large but intimate living area opening onto covered deck. A separate bedroom with king size bed adjoins ensuite containing intimate double spa bath with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the rainforest.

Set down in the thick rainforest, these pitched roof design bungalows create a romantic setting for you and your partner. Listen to the sound of the flowing creek as you wine and dine by candlelight on the large but cosy deck. Surround the indoor spa with candles and gaze out the window at the beauty that is the Crystal Creek Rainforest.

Tamarind (1)
Tamarind accommodates one couple only.
Tamarind is an intimate, secluded, contemporary rainforest bungalow featuring a fireplace and double spa. With over 100 square metres of floor space, this spacious bungalow has a clean-lined modern feel. It has a polished wooden floor throughout, a marble-and-tile bathroom with double spa and rainforest views plus a large private deck.

Tamarind is set amongst the trees, close to the creek. Framed by exposed ceiling beams of polished wood, the ambience of this bungalow is open and spacious. One entire wall of the living space in this cabin is glass, bringing the tranquillity of the rainforest inside whilst preserving the feeling of comfort and intimacy. The new en-suite has a large double spa bath set into marble and relaxing vistas of the rainforest through its own full-length windows.

Polished wooden floors and a wood-burning fireplace in the bedroom add the essential finishing touches. This bungalow oozes relaxation and a large modern lounge area features a top-quality flat screen LCD television, DVD/CD player and surround sound system with speakers in every room. Reverse-cycle air-conditioning in every room, including the bathroom, keeps you comfy in all weathers. A modern, streamlined, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, adjoins a dining area which opens onto a private covered deck.

Braise the meat ingredients of your gourmet hampers on its barbecue – then bask in the sun on the lounges on the open deck. Set amidst dense pristine rainforest, this bungalow creates a cosy romantic setting for you and your partner. Luxury Mountain View Lodges (2)
We have two Luxury Mountain View Lodges, called Springbrook Lodge (for its view of Mount Springbrook) and Numinbah Lodge. Each accommodates one couple only. The Luxury Mountain View Lodges have everything that makes all our bungalows comfortable and luxurious, plus much more.

Located higher in the valley than our other accommodation, these Lodges feature breathtaking aspects to the surrounding tropical landscape. The private decks incorporate an outdoor kitchen and large endlessly heated plunge pools featuring wet edges on three sides. With an open plan of nearly 150 square metres, each Lodge features double-sided fireplace, generous walk-in wardrobe and much more.

Expansive private views- As they are located higher in the valley than our other accommodation, these Lodges also feature breathtaking aspects to the surrounding landscape, magically combining lofty mountain ridges with tropical valleys of genuine old-growth rainforest and stoic trees that are centuries old. The private decks on these Lodges incorporate an outdoor kitchen and large continuously heated plunge pools which feature wet edges on three sides.

The ultimate in rainforest luxury - Including the deck, the floor space of this architect-designed open plan is over 150 square metres. A cosy, romantic double-sided fireplace screens the bedroom from the generous living area, with a big clear skylight (with block-out blind) above the bed for stargazing. Reverse-cycle air conditioning keeps you comfortable all year round. A walk-in wardrobe provides generous space for suitcases and the like. In the bathroom, floor-to-ceiling windows integrate the stunning beauty of the rainforest with the indulgence of the luxury double solid marble bath. Recycled French oak floorboards add a glamorous patina throughout.

The Lodges are also the next step up in sustainable accommodation. Combining classic design with modern energy efficiency technology. In addition to standard insulation in walls and ceiling, the Lodges also employ new innovations such as 'Comfort Plus' glass in its floor-to-ceiling windows. With its insulating properties far superior to standard glass, the Lodge successfully keeps the heat in during winter and keeps it out in summer. State-of-the-art solar heating technology is used to keep the plunge pool indulgently warm for all but a couple of months of the year. There are many invisible – but very tangible – additions that will make your stay extremely comfortable while being respectful to our environment.

The kitchens are fully equipped, with a four burner gas cook top and a convection/microwave oven. The Rainforest Canopy bungalows also have a full sized oven. There are no telephones in the bungalows, however, there is a pay-phone on site. (Mobile phone reception is unreliable).

Dining and Meals at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat All of Crystal Creek's bungalows are fully self contained. You can bring your own supplies and stir fry in your own kitchen, barbecue al fresco on the verandah, picnic under the giant fig tree by the creek, carry a hikers pack to the lookout ... or enjoy a Crystal Creek gourmet hamper by candlelight in the comfort and intimacy of your own bungalow. The gourmet meals at this romantic retreat, in the northern rivers on the tweed coast hinterland are served and delivered in an informal way, to allow guests, the luxury to create their own timetable so they can enjoy a private and convenient dinning experience. At Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat we are committed to providing a very high standard in everything we do and this includes our meals. Our meals are delivered in such a way as to allow guests to decide their own meal times, from late afternoon to late at night; you don't have to stress to meet a time line, you don't have to dress for dinner, meals are unhurried and in the private setting of your own bungalow at your leisure. You will not be confronted by other people, staff or guests - we are, after all, a retreat with the emphases on couples spending quality, private and uninterrupted time with each other. All the meals, breakfasts, lunches and dinners are delivered between 2-4 pm. In the gourmet dinner range, these are fully cooked, served in ceramic terrines and put into your fridge, with all the condiments, breads, salads, desserts etc and are ready to heat and serve at your leisure. In the gourmet hamper range the meals are fully pre-prepared with all the condiments, breads, salads, desserts etc and ready for you to add the final touches, which will include tossing the meat portions on a hot BBQ. With the exception of the two Cooked Seafood Platters. As Crystal Creek buy all their produce fresh, 24 hours notice is required for all meals. Each selection feeds one couple and unfortunately cannot be mix 'n' matched. Alcoholic beverages are BYO.

Weddings and Receptions
As a unique romantic rainforest wedding ceremony venue, Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat provides the perfect setting for your special day. We are only able to host very small weddings from just the bride and groom to the company of just a few close family and friends in attendance (max 10) then we have the perfect setting. Alternatively if you all of the accommodation then a few more can attend the ceremony.

We provide a variety of unique locations for your ceremony. You may wish to be married on the banks of our pristine creek under a 400 year old Blue Quandong Fig tree. Or on our expansive lawn surrounded by rainforest trees with the most magnificent view of the World Heritage Listed Mt Springbrook. Or maybe under the shelter of our modern function centre.

Unfortunately Crystal Creek are unable to cater for any receptions. Some couples make their own arrangements or book a local restaurant for the reception.

Any time, sunrise, sunset or evenings with candles to light your way. We can create the mood for your special day.

Guest Accommodation
Accommodation in our luxury cabins is available for up to 16 family and friends. It is required that you book out all accommodation to ensure total privacy on your special day. We can also recommend nearby accommodation to fulfil your guests needs.

Honeymoons
Peace, privacy and rainforest tranquillity awaits you when you choose Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat as your honeymoon destination. We specialise in romantic honeymoons and pride ourselves on the privacy aspect of your visit. You can be rest assured you won't be disturbed by anyone.

Take a romantic walk along one of our many secluded tracks, ride the mountain bikes on a trip through the beautiful valley or just relax in hammocks suspended over the Crystal Creek. A soothing massage can be arranged followed by a pampering in the spa then we can deliver dinner by a candle light served in the privacy of your bungalow or you may prefer to self cater in your fully contained kitchen, or utilise the four burner BBQ on your private deck.

Children and Pets - The retreat does not cater for children, and pets are not permitted. Guests arriving with children or pets will be refused check in and forfeit monies paid.
