Learn about aboriginal art and culture from Aboriginal artists. Join an Aboriginal artist at the Uluru Cultural Centre for a fun introduction to Aboriginal Art. Your Aboriginal guide will provide an introduction to their culture and how this is expressed in their artworks. You can then complete your own painting which you can take home as a momento of your experience.

Aboriginal Uluru Tour
This is one of the most famous tours of Uluru. On this small group tour you enjoy sunrise, a restaurant breakfast overlooking Uluru and the Liru Walk with an Aboriginal guide and interpreter. On the famous Liru Walk you will retrace the path of the Liru Ancestors through the bushland near Uluru. Hear the tragic fate of Lungkata (Blue Tongue Lizard Man), who is still lying at the base of Uluru. See demonstrations of ancient bush skills such as making kiti (bush glue), making fire the traditional way and carving wooden tools with only a sharpened stone. Learn the art of spear throwing and piti carrying.

Uluru Base and Sunet Drinks Tour
This afternoon visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative, dedicated to interpreting local Anangu culture and law. Afterwards, travel to the waterhole of Mutitjulu at the base of Uluru for a guided walk, on which you will view ancient cave paintings and also learn about the Aboriginal legends of Kuniya Tjukurpa (Python Dreaming). Then embark on the guided Mala Walk, during which you will be told the story of the Mala (Hare Wallaby) people who once lived at Uluru. See fascinating painted caves and learn about the region’s unique geology and flora. As you tour the base of Uluru, visit Kantju Gorge, a waterhole and old hunting ground. Later in the afternoon, travel to a lovely vantage point to watch the sun set at Uluru. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and canapés as the dusk deepens into night, and admire the ever-changing colours of the monolith while the sun sinks below the horizon. Duration: 5 Hours

Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk
Rise early and travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area to watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight. Accompany your guide on the Mala Walk, one of the most important habitation areas for the Aboriginal people over thousands of years. Continue to Kantju Gorge, where after rainfall, water can cascade over the side of Uluru and plunge some 90 metres to the ground. Drive to the site of the Mutitjulu Walk where your guide will indicate the natural features of the landscape, Aboriginal rock paintings and relay traditional stories relating to this special place. Board your coach and continue your tour around the circumference of this massive rock. Later visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, learn more about Anangu and Tjukurpa (Anangu beliefs and law).

Walpa Gorge, Uluru Sunset and Barbecue
Travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta. On the way, stop at a lookout for a panoramic view of the southern side of Kata Tjuta. Continue on before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend some time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. In the late afternoon we travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Witness and photograph the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while enjoying nibbles and a glass of wine. Then travel to the exclusive venue to enjoy barbecue dinner.
