Join The Ghan in Adelaide. Settle into the comforts of this great train. Enjoy lunch in the Restaurant Car as you travel north towards Spencer Gulf and Port Augusta. (LD)

DAY 2: Monday or Thursday
Outback and Alice Springs
After Arriving in Alice Springs, transfer to The Chifley Alice Springs Resort. The rest of the day is free. (B)

DAY 3: Tuesday or Friday

Uluru (Ayers Rock) Travel to Uluru and check in to the Desert Gardens Hotel. See Kata Tjuta and the Valley of the Winds. This evening enjoy sunset before a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing. (BD) DAY 4: Wednesday or Saturday Uluru See Uluru at sunrise, enjoy the Mutitjulu Walk and Kantju Gorge. This evening watch the changing colours of Uluru as the sunsets.

DAY 5: Thursday or Sunday
Kings Canyon
This morning is at your leisure. In the afternoon travel to Kings Canyon.

DAY 6: Friday or Monday
Kings Canyon
Enjoy a guided walk to the rim of Kings Canyon or Alternatively, join an easier walk along the canyon floor. Return to Alice Springs. (B)

DAY 7: Saturday or Tuesday Alice Springs Today is free to explore at your own pace. (B) DAY 8: Sunday or Wednesday Palm Valley A 4WD adventure down Finke River to the oasis setting at Palm Valley and on to Hermannsburg. (BL)

Late afternoon, join The Ghan to travel north. (BD)

Katherine and Darwin
Stop in Katherine where you can enjoy a Whistle Stop Tour† at Katherine Gorge. Arrive into Darwin late afternoon and check in to the SkyCity Darwin for the next two nights. (BL)

DAY 11: Wednesday or Saturday
Darwin
Today hop on and off the Tour Tub, a fun open-air bus that operates an hourly route around Darwin city including stops at various attractions. (B)

DAY 12: Thursday or Sunday
Kakadu
Visit Nourlangie Rock and cruise on Yellow Water Billabong. Check in to Kakadu’s Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn for the night. (BL)

DAY 13: Friday or Monday Ubirr Art Site, East Alligator River Cruise, Darwin Join your Guluyambi Cruise, visit the rock art site at Ubirr, the Bowali Visitor Centre and Window on the Wetlands. Return to SkyCity Darwin this evening. (L) DAY 14: Saturday or Tuesday Darwin Enjoy one last breakfast, at the hotel before checking out. (B)
