With the option to start your holiday in Adelaide you’ll board the mighty Indian Pacific at Adelaide’s Parklands Rail Terminal and enjoy dinner in the Restaurant Car as you pass the Southern Flinders Ranges. (D)

DAY 3: Monday or Friday The Nullarbor, Cook, Kalgoorlie Salt lake country gives way to the desolate Nullarbor Plain as you head west, stopping at one of the world’s most remote outposts, Cook. Stretch your legs, get some fresh air, and maybe even meet the locals – all seven of them! Then it’s on to Kalgoorlie, site of the world’s largest open cut gold mine, where you can explore and see the rest of the city on an optional Whistle Stop Tour†. (BLD)

Avon Valley, Perth

Swan River and Fremantle
