DAY 3: Monday or Friday The Nullarbor, Cook, Kalgoorlie Salt lake country gives way to the desolate Nullarbor Plain as you head west, stopping at one of the world’s most remote outposts, Cook. Stretch your legs, get some fresh air, and maybe even meet the locals – all seven of them! Then it’s on to Kalgoorlie, site of the world’s largest open-cut gold mine, where you can explore and see the rest of the city on an optional Whistle Stop Tour†. (BLD)
