Perched on a hill surrounded by tranquil farmland, the drawcard of this property is the views - they are 360 degrees and are sensational. The sometimes snow-capped Mt Roland features prominently, but there are another 11 peaks that can be seen from Eagles Nest I and II.

Owner Des Brown designed Eagles Nest I to frame the views. Nothing was too difficult - from the specially built 4.1 metre tall glass windows, the huge couch that swivels between the open fire and those awe-inspiring views to the positioning of the beds and the spa tub on the second floor to take in the SPECTACULAR views.

Following in the footsteps of Eagles Nest I, the larger, more spacious Eagles Nest II offers a variety of wellness and wellbeing facilities in a niche, exclusive and secluded location.

Eagles Nest I can easily accommodate up to 4 adults comfortably in two bedrooms. When you stay at Eagles Nest I - you don't have to be concerned that you are sharing a bathroom with another couple or the lounge will be filled with other guests - all you have to worry about is which spa you want to relax in next. Eagles Nest 1 is a unique romantic getaway in a world of its own, taking wellness and renewal on nature’s discovery of the senses with Spa Experiences that use natural elements, to give peace to the mind, to enthrall the heart and to soothe the soul. With its eclectic style blending luxury with farm influences, bold colours and Tasmanian timbers, Eagles Nest Retreat is a unique experience for one or two couples only. Eagles Nest Retreat II is more than just accommodation offering guests a 24/7 boutique lifestyle experience. It is designed to offer the ultimate escape and privacy for single bookings. During your stay guests get exclusive use of all property facilities. Eagles Nest II has the capacity to cater for up to eight or more people upon special request, yet it remains intimate enough for just two people to enjoy. Eagles Nest II has the following features: To achieve a 'global experience' within, different rooms are decorated based on regional design influences. These include bedrooms inspired by Africa and Asia, an upstairs reading loft with a distinct Middle Eastern ambiance, and a courtyard with hammocks and a tranquil South American flavour. The building's general design is open plan and uses glass and contours to give an almost transparent overall appearance. The two storey open plan design has the capacity to sleep up to eight people. Sit back, stretch and relax by the open fireplace in the lounge room and marvel at the incredible mountain views through our specially designed two story glass windows. Choose to sleep in the 'Asian Wing' and enjoy the king size bed, authentic Asian furnishings, including low tea table, hand made silk screens and lamps, and our spectacular Japanese Haiku spa and bamboo shower experiences. You can bath in the spa and enjoy the mountain views or open the spa side bi-fold windows and enjoy the gentle breeze from outside. Choose to sleep in the 'African Wing' and enjoy the king size bed, walk in robe, rustic stone and wood work on the bed head and around the open fireplace. Shower watching the flames of the fire in the room beyond or take in the amazing views from the spa; turn your head to watch the flames dance in the open fireplace or look further out to the lake and mountain beyond through the expansive glass windows. African artifacts and artwork adorn the walls. And no African experience would be complete without an outdoor showering experience which you can enjoy from our stone built exterior shower. Choose to sleep in the 'Mountain Room' - a beautifully curved room in the main building and enjoy the tranquil decor of muted silk tones which compliment the stunning Australian timber custom made free standing king size bed. Aptly named, the room features an incredible view of the mountain and lake through the 4 meter long window expanse. Sliding doors provide access to the outdoors from your room. Floor heating throughout the kitchen and main living area spreads the warmth under foot. Self catering in the fully equipped gourmet kitchen is a delight for any chef. The dining table easily seats up to eight people in fine style. For your entertainment you have full use of the large LCD Flat screen wall mounted television with CD and DVD player and for your convenience you will find a fully equipped laundry within Eagles Nest II. An upstairs reading loft featuring middle-eastern furnishings and reading material is the ideal place to relax your time away. A reading oasis by day, however you may even choose to sleep up here on our romantic 'Arabian Nights' inspired platform. You will find the upstairs balcony is accessible from the reading loft. Outside there is under cover sunspace which adjoins the kitchen area through bi-fold doors. It features floor cushions and hammocks. To de-stress, bath in the fresh air in our lakeside spa, while marvelling at the reflections of the mountain in the watery view beyond or sit around our outside fire pit close to the lake for night time star gazing and marshmallow roasting.

Eagles Nest Retreat is located in Tasmania, Australia. The retreat can be found approximately half way between Sheffield and Lake Barrington. Driving from Launceston Airport will take approximately 1 hour, driving from Devonport will take approximately 25 minutes. Cradle Mountain is located approximately 1 hour from Eagles Nest Retreat. The Retreat is located approximately 3 hours from Hobart.

There are several ways of getting to Tasmania. Take a flight into Launceston or Hobart directly, the Spirit of Tasmania from either Melbourne or Sydney to Devonport then hire a car or fly into the capital of Tasmania - Hobart and again hire a car for the duration of your stay.
