At certain times of the year the sunsets over Mt Alexander are awe-inspiring. Step out on a clear night to see one of the best dark skies in the Southern Hemisphere, perfect for star gazing. Full breakfast provisions including choice of cereals, bread, milk, bacon and eggs often from our own chickens are provided as are coffee, teas and organic jams.

Bedrooms at Hut on the Hill are large, open and airy, fitted with high quality linen for your comfort. Packages include a choice of either a King-size bedroom or a Queen-size bedroom or both. For your comfort electric heating, clock radios, built in robes and a choice of soft fluffy doonas or warm woollen blankets have been supplied.

The open plan spacious living design at Hut on the Hill boasts a beautiful cathedral timber ceiling, modern fittings and furnishings complemented by subtle splashes of colour. Enjoy relaxing around the fireplace in the cooler months.The townships of Tooborac and Heathcote are just a short drive away.

The outdoor barbeque setting is ideal for alfresco entertaining. Back inside, sink into soft leather couches to read, watch a DVD or listen to your favourite CD whilst you savour a local shiraz. Summer or winter the split system air conditioner provides comfort.

A large bathroom, with separate shower, twin vanity basins and hairdryer divides both bedrooms and each room features their own outside access so you can fully experience the serene location with sensational views to the McHarg ranges. Soft heated towels and quality toiletries are provided for guests who can then relax and distress with the indulgence of a fragrant spa bath whilst basking in the silence and country views.

At Hut on the Hill, throughout summer just step outside from the lounge/dining area to your own private solar heated, salt chlorinated, in ground, super indulgence ‘Endless Swimspa.’ Relax in its contoured seating with moulded headrests or enjoy an invigorating hydro swim any time of day or night. Getting to Hut on the Hill
From Melbourne take the Hume Highway turn off to Kilmore - Bendigo onto the Northern Highway continue along this to Tooborac then after McIvor Creek turn left into Hardings Lane and continue for approximately 8k veering right till you reach a T intersection then turn Right into Dairy Flat road for another 2½ kilometres where you'll see a sign indicating to turn left into the driveway of Hut on the Hill. Approximate distance from Melbourne – 118 kilometres.
