Peppers Calstock, Deloraine has a long and interesting history. This boutique accommodation site has been home to Tasmania's early pioneering families, a Thoroughbred stud - which produced two Melbourne Cup winners and today stands as a refined luxury Retreat.
Fusing contemporary elegance with French culinary tradition and historical style, Peppers Calstock Country Retreat is a 19th Century Georgian mansion – recently restored as a charming country guesthouse. Snuggled amidst 200 acres of historical gardens and lush green pastures in Tasmania’s northwest region, the estate is refined yet comfortable, elegant yet intimate. The very essence of Tasmania.
Built between 1837 and 1853, Peppers Calstock is a stunning example of Tasmania's grand pioneering homes. Retaining many original features, including marble fireplaces, high ceilings with decorative architraves and cedar floors, the house has been carefully restored to its former glory.
