Spicers Hidden Vale is designed in the style of a traditional Australian homestead from a bygone era with the main guest lounge, reception, restaurant and bar located in the original Homestead. Scattered amongst beautiful country gardens are elegantly restored cottages dating back to the 1800's and converted into luxury guest accommodation. The individual cottages all have a distinctive character ranging from a quaint Chinese cottage built in the late 1800's to a six bedroom cottage which was formally the Station Manager's home.
Most of the 31 deluxe guest rooms and suites offer panoramic views of the surrounding picturesque mountains and valleys from large verandahs. It is a unique and intimate experience.
You may choose from four different styles of accommodation at Spicers Hidden Vale.
Spicers Hidden Vale - Valley Rooms
(Brahman, Belmont, Wagyu, Hereford)
There are two types of Valley Rooms that allow you to enjoy spectacular views and peace and quiet.
The first are small but charming rooms located in either 2, 3 or 4 bedroom shared cottages. Positioned around a central living area with a cosy fireplace, each private room features Queen or King beds, television, mini bar refrigerator and a separate ensuite bathroom with shower. All are elegantly appointed with furnishings reminiscent of their heritage and most boast a shared verandah providing expansive valley views that will take your breath away.
If you prefer not to share a cottage, the second type of Valley Rooms - are motel style found in the Murray Grey precinct. These lovely single rooms stand in a row of six and boast private ensuite facilities, king size beds and a private outdoor viewing area of the Valley.
Spicers Hidden Vale - Heritage Suite
(Charolais, Santa Gertudis, Highland)
These elegant stand-alone cottages offer privacy, intimacy, spectacular views and wide verandahs. In keeping with the heritage of the property, these cottages boast delightful country fabrics and beautiful furnishings. Each has their own lounge, sitting room, King-size bed, fireplace, spa bath and luxury L'Occitane amenities.
Spicers Hidden Vale - Junior Heritage Suite (Chinese Cottage)
This elegant cottage was built in 1880 by Chinese workers, and is especially quirky, with its outside architecture juxtaposed against its inside heritage decor and Spicers Hidden Vale’s rustic backdrop. This lovely room features a king bed, spa bath, verandah and a private courtyard.
Spicers Hidden Vale - Luxury Suite (Red Angus, Black Angus)
These suites offer stunning large stand-alone cottage-style accommodation with separate lounge room and picture windows, overlooking the valley. Each Luxury Suite is superbly styled with modern furnishings and facilities including a large plasma screen television and CD/DVD player to make your stay that little bit more comfortable. French doors from both the lounge and the bedroom lead out onto the wide verandah. These king or queen bedded suites offer intimacy and uniquely superb views.
