Day 1 - Northern New South Wales
On arrival at Ballina airport you will be transferred to Casuarina Lodge. The Lodge is set within the natural beauty of the lush rainforest hinterland that surrounds one of Australia’s most beautiful places, Byron Bay. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Here you’ll find serenity, seclusion and an escape from the stresses of city life. Tastefully decorated private lodges allow you to relax and take in the beauty of your surroundings. In this intimate environment you can indulge yourself by relaxing near the pool or stroll through the surrounding rainforest. Accommodation: Casuarina Lodge

Day 2 - Byron Bay
Today explore the ancient Buchan Caves, created almost 400 million years ago by underground rivers cutting through limestone rock. The caves were discovered by Europeans in 1907 and opened to the public the following year. The bones of kangaroos and a wombat the size of a horse have been found on the cave floor. Mid morning visit Cape Byron Lighthouse which is the most easterly light in Australia and one of the most powerful. This afternoon visit Bangalow, the only intact federation village on Australia’s east coast. Bangalow’s elegant pace combines modern and traditional without the over development found elsewhere. Day 3 - Tweed Valley
Today travel from Byron Bay to the Gold Coast via the hinterland. Passing through towns such as the famous dairy producer of Clunes, the alternative township of Nimbin and Mt Warning which towers over the Tweed Valley. Stop for lunch at the Tweed Shire Art Gallery. Mid afternoon arrive at the stunning Palazzo Versace hotel which is set in a location of breathtaking beauty. The hotel is known for its renaissance splendour and elegance. Afternoon at leisure to prepare for the evening’s New Year’s Eve festivities. Accommodation: Palazzo Versace

Day 4 - Cruise the Broadwater
This morning you have at leisure to rest after last night’s gala event. There will be a seafood lunch cruise on the Broadwater. The Broadwater provides a spectacle of water activities, together with views of the mountains, palatial homes and the Surfers Paradise skyline. Dinner tonight is at leisure at the hotel. Accommodation: Palazzo Versace

Day 5 - Springbrook National Park
This morning drive to the Gold Coast hinterland and Springbrook National Park which is part of the World Heritage listed Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves. Lunch today will be at the famous Oskars restaurant at Burleigh Heads followed by an afternoon at leisure. Tonight attend the Australian Outback Spectacular, an outback themed evening dinner and show. Accommodation: Palazzo Versace

Day 6 - Homeward Bound
The journey will conclude after breakfast this morning. Transfer to Coolangatta Airport for your return flights home.
