Day 1 - Arrive Adelaide
On arrival at Adelaide airport you will be transferred to the Hyatt Regency. The Hyatt Regency Adelaide is situated in one of the city’s finest locations, on the picturesque River Torrens. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure before meeting with your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner. Accommodation: Hyatt Regency Adelaide
Day 2 - McLaren Vale - Victor Harbour
This morning we explore the picturesque McLaren Vale, the gateway to the fabulous Fleurieu Peninsula. This afternoon is spent exploring Victor Harbor including an opportunity to visit the South Australian Whale Centre. Take the Horse Drawn Tram to Granite Island and visit the penguin colony. A guide will take you to view the penguins in their natural habitat and interpret the biology, ecology, behaviours and adaptations of these charismatic creatures. Return early evening to our accommodation that has panoramic views across the Hindmarsh Valley and Victor Harbor coast. Accommodation: McCracken Country Club
Day 3 - The Coorong - Hahndorf
Today enjoy the Coorong Discovery Cruise and view the mouth of the Murray River stopping at Godfrey’s Landing for a guided board walk across Younghusband Peninsula to view the Great Southern Ocean. It is internationally significant as a migratory wader and waterfowl refuge and is of spiritual significance to the local Ngarrindjeri people. On the way to our accommodation this evening you will visit the German village of Hahndorf for afternoon tea before continuing on to Mt Lofty House positioned in the Adelaide Hills wine region. Day 4 - Barossa
This morning discover the beautiful Barossa’s unique heritage and blend of German, British and Australian culture. Admire the many Lutheran churches, stone buildings and vineyards while re-tracing the paths of our early pioneers. Visit the famous Maggie Beer “Pheasant Farm” and get to taste first hand some of the fine food that she produces. Tonight celebrate Christmas in July in style, with the warmth of spectacular open fireplaces, superb traditional fare and great company. Enjoy a traditional European Christmas with all the trimmings! Day 5 - Homeward Bound
The journey will conclude after breakfast this morning. Transfer to Adelaide Airport for your return flights home.
