Day 1 - Hobart

Day 2 - Bruny Island
Journey from Hobart today along the spectacular southern coastal road through the township of Taroona, where the world’s oldest round shot tower stands. From here the coastal journey continues to the tiny fishing village of Kettering, the access point for Bruny Island. Bruny Island is an island of surprises – gentle countryside and wild coastlines, quiet beaches and lighthouses, farmhouses, and a rich heritage of sealers, whalers and explorers. Day 3 - Freycinet Peninsula
Whilst Tasmania is Australia’s smallest state, it contains some of Australia’s most spectacular untouched wilderness. Many people explore Tasmania by road but from the air you gain a whole new perspective. Depart from Hobart on board a private light aircraft providing spectacular aerial views of the eastern coastline landing at Freycinet Lodge air strip. Located in the heart of the spectacular Freycinet National Park, the lodge is perfectly positioned to provide panoramic views of Wineglass Bay and The Hazards.Naturalist guides are on hand this afternoon to guide you through the very special treasures unique to this National Park on foot, or simply relax in the superb surrounds of the Lodge, designed to blend perfectly with the natural surrounds whilst affording the comfort and views of the coastline. Day 4 - Wineglass Bay
Cruise throughout the water of Wineglass Bay to uncover the breathtaking granite cliffs and sea caves of this remote coastal region with a chance to view the abundant marine life that live in these sheltered waters. Take a swim in the crystal waters of the bay or take a walk on the pristine sands of one of the top ten rated beaches in the world! Accommodation: Freycinet Lodge

Day 5 - Mole Creek Karst National Park
Reboard your light aircraft this morning to explore the rugged, spectacular landscapes of north-west Tasmania. Landing at Launceston, journey inland to explore the Mole Creek Karst National Park. This afternoon Tasmania’s diverse wilderness continues to provide fascinating new discoveries. The Mole Creek Karst National Park is located in the forested hills below the impressive Western Tiers. Underground streams have made caves with splendid calcite formations. Two caves will be explored during the visit. From here transfer to Cradle Mountain Lodge situated in the heart of this remarkable world heritage wilderness. Accommodation: Cradle Mountain Lodge or similar

Day 6 - Cradle Mountain National Park
Cradle Mountain's Lake St. Clair National Park is famous for its superb mountain peaks and lakes, its atmospheric forests and its wild alpine moorlands. Much of the park is inaccessible, however a journey today by private helicopter will provide unsurpassed views of this spectacular wilderness. The helicopter takes you from Cradle Valley past Dove Lake, Little Horn and Cradle Mountain. Accommodation: Cradle Mountain Lodge or similar

Day 7 - Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park
Strahan is the gateway to two of Tasmania’s renowned wild rivers, the might Gordon and Franklin, that meander through the Franklin Gordon Wil Rivers National Park. Lying in the heart of Tasmania’s World Heritage wilderness area, it is a region. Accommodation: Franklin Manor or similar

Day 8 - Strahan - Port Arthur
This morning we fly to Hobart. Upon arrival we transfer to the Port Arthur Historic Site with an introductory historical walking tour. Face to face with an expert guide - there's no better way to learn about the site and its history. Today's touring includes a cruise on the MV Marana and access to more than 30 buildings, ruins and restored houses, inlcuding the Convict Water Supply Trail, the new dockyard and the Coal Mines Historic Site at Saltwater River. Day 9 - Homeward Bound
This remarkable journey, uncovering the majestic World Heritage National Parks of Tasmania, draws to a close today. There is an opportunity for those who wish to explore the renowned Salamanca markets this morning before transferring to the airport for your connecting flight home.
