Itinerary:
Day 1: Sydney - Bowral
Your journey begins today with a private transfer from your home in metropolitan Sydney or from Sydney airport to a famous Sydney restaurant for lunch. Here you will meet your travelling companions and your Journey Director. Late afternoon we travel by limousine to Bowral. Tonight dinner will be at leisure at the hotel. Accommodation: Milton Park Country House Hotel.

Day 2: Christmas Day
Today you will spend a relaxing Christmas Day with new friends. After breakfast you can spend the morning at leisure exploring the grounds of Milton Park. Or for those clients wishing to attend church services, our Journey Director will advise you of service times.

Milton Park is a grand mansion, built at the turn of the nineteenth century by the Hordern family of retail and pastoral fame. The house, designed by Morrow and de Putron is described by the Australian Heritage Commission as ‘a design of exceptional interest: the homestead demonstrates the federation arts and crafts style, with the rendered and shingled walls, hipped and gabled roofs, tall chimneys and nouveau detailing.” In 1998, Milton Park was purchased privately. The owners have refurbished the estate, the hotel and the gardens to their current glorious state.

Today we will celebrate Christmas with a very special lunch at Milton Park. Accommodation: Milton Park Country House Hotel.

Day 3: Boxing Day
After a leisurely breakfast this morning we explore the International Cricket Hall of Fame and see Don Bradman’s home in Bowral with an exclusive guide. We also visit some of Bowral’s most beautiful gardens. The Southern Highlands revels in some of the most magnificent private gardens in Australia. Grand old gardens planted from the middle of last century were established by Sydneysiders who came to their country estates to escape the heat and humidity of coastal summers.

After lunch at a local restaurant we travel to the historic town of Berrima. The town was established in the 1830’s during a time of great exploration and expansion in New South Wales. Sensitive restoration over the years meant that many of the buildings and attractions have retained their former glory. Today we visit the Berrima Court House, Harpers Mansion and Berrima District Museum. Accommodation: Milton Park Country House Hotel.

Day 4: Bowral - Robertson - Sydney
Today we travel via Robertson back to Sydney. The village of Robertson was established in the 1860s and is renowned for its rich soil and high rainfall which make Robertson so lush and green. Robertson sits above the top of Macquarie Pass and the Illawarra Escarpment. After lunch in Robertson we visit the Illawarra Fly, an elevated steel canopy walk through the rainforest on the picturesque Illawarra Escarpment, offering inspiring views over the South Pacific Ocean.

We return to Sydney via the grand Pacific Drive, travelling through Thirroul, Scarborough, the newly built Sea Cliff Bridge, Stanwell Tops and the Royal National Park. On arrival in Sydney you will be either transferred to the airport or to your home in Metropolitan Sydney.
