Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Adelaide
Arrive into Adelaide and transfer to the Intercontinental Hotel. There will be a welcome dinner at a famous local restaurant.

Day 2 - Adelaide - Arkaroola
This morning we begin our journey by private aircraft. Starting with low aerial flightseeing over the Spencer Gulf before flying into Arkaroola Wilderness Resort. Arkaroola features rugged mountains, towering granite peaks, magnificent gorges and mysterious waterholes. It is home to over 160 species of birds and the shy and endangered Yellow-footed Rock-wallaby. This afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. Tonight there will be an observatory tour to look at the stars.

Day 3 - Arkaroola
Arkaroola is one of Australia’s most spectacular areas, rich in history. This morning journey by four wheel drive to the Ridgetop area to view the rugged escarpment that has been carved over countless years and is home to a unique collection of flora and fauna. This afternoon is free to explore the remarkable diversity of wilderness or simply relax in the comfort of the resort.

Day 4 - Arkaroola - low fly Lake Eyre - Innamincka - Birdsville
This morning we enjoy spectacular scenic flightseeing over Lake Eyre. Your private aircraft will provide breathtaking views of the remote landscape of Lake Eyre. During the past forty years or so the lake has seen many floods of varying sizes. The lake has only filled to capacity three times in the past 150 years. For lunch we stop in the remote township of Innamincka. This afternoon transfer to Birdsville where we will stay at the famous Birdsville Hotel. The Birdsville Hotel and the Innamincka Hotel are linked in outback history by two legendary stock routes, which opened the Channel Country to the south. Today, the stock routes are known as the Birdsville and Strzelecki Tracks. The routes are wide-open roads traversing vast outback flood plains to the soaring sand hills of the Sturt Stony Desert.

Day 5 - Birdsville - Mt Isa
Continuing on today flying through western Queensland to Mt Isa. Described as the Oasis of the Outback - a gleaming mirage on the horizon for travellers from all directions - Mount Isa nestles among the ochre-red Selwyn Ranges, on the banks of the Leichhardt River. On arrival we have a tour of an above-ground mine. Mount Isa’s existence and its main financial base is the huge Mount Isa Mine, the world’s largest single producer of copper, silver, lead and zinc. Explore the “Outback at Isa” interactive museum, Riversleigh Fossil Information Centre and Outback Park.

Day 6 - Mt Isa - Riversleigh - Gove
This morning we depart to the Gulf country. On arrival into Adel’s Grove we transfer to the Riversleigh Fossil Mammal Field where we have an exclusive tour of this pre-historic wonderland. The extensive fossil deposits at Riversleigh are encased in hard, rough limestone, which was formed in lime-rich freshwater pools. After lunch we have a guided tour of the spectacular oasis of Lawn Hill National Park, with the option to walk or canoe. The main attractions in the park are the sandstone ranges with deep gorges and a limestone plateau with significant fossil fields. Late afternoon flight to Gove.

Day 7 - Gove
East Arnhem Land is one of the last wilderness areas on earth! The Gove Peninsula is scenic with long white sandy beaches, azure waters and green vegetation. This vast tract of nearly 100,000 sq km of land is one of Australia’s last strongholds of traditional Aboriginal culture. The Aboriginal people of East Arnhem Land call themselves Yolngu and today live a unique lifestyle blending the latest in western technology with timeless traditions. Today we experience a full day exclusive cultural experience with a local indigenous guide..

Day 8 - Gove - Darwin
Today we do spectacular flightseeing over Arnhem Land to Darwin. Upon arrival experience some local touring of Darwin and surrounds. The afternoon is yours to spend at lesiure before a final farewell dinner.

Day 9 - Darwin - Homeport
Transfer to the airport for connecting flights to your homeport.
