Itinerary
Day 1 - Sydney / Arkaroola
Departing Sydney, the private aircraft heads west to the mining township of Broken Hill to visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Continue on to Arkaroola, a private 610 square kilometre wilderness sanctuary. This evening view the southern skies through the high powered telescopes. Accommodation: Arkaroola Resort and Wilderness Sanctuary
Day 2 - Arkaroola
Arkaroola is one of Australia’s most spectacular areas which is rich in history. This morning journey by four wheel drive to the Ridgetop area to view the rugged escarpment, carved over countless years and home to a unique collection of flora and fauna. This afternoon is free to explore the remarkable diversity of wilderness or simply relax in the comfort of the resort. Accommodation: Arkaroola Resort and Wilderness Sanctuary
Day 3 - Arkaroola / Alice Springs
Your private aircraft will provide breathtaking views of the remote salt pan landscapes of Lake Eyre enroute to Alice Springs. Visit the environmentally designed Alice Springs Desert Park which offers an excellent opportunity to view some of the Territory’s unique flora and fauna. Accommodation: Crowne Plaza Alice Springs or similar
Day 4 - Alice Springs / Katherine
Visit the spectacular Stanley Chasm Gorge before reboarding the aircraft for Katherine. This evening enjoy a breathtaking sunset cruise on Katherine Gorge. Accommodation: Knotts Crossing Resort or similar
Day 5 - Katherine / Arnhem Land
Board the aircraft for a short flight to Oenpelli in the heart of Arnhem Land known for its aboriginal culture and towering escarpments. Continue to Kakadu National Park containing one of the highest concentrated areas of Aboriginal rock art sites in the world. Accommodation: Holiday Inn Gagadju Crocodile Hotel
Day 6 - Bathurst Island
This morning fly across the Beagle Gulf to the remote Bathurst Island. Home to the Tiwi Island people, our visit today will provide a fascinating insight into the lifestyle and acclaimed art of this island community. Accommodation : Mantra on the Esplanade or similar
Day 7 - Kimberley
Return to Darwin this morning to reboard our private aircraft for a flight to one of Australia’s most scenically dramatic regions - The Kimberley. Before landing, enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the ancient Purnululu National Park. On arrival in Kununurra, take part in an exhilarating cruise on the Ord River. Accommodation: Kimberley Grande or similar
Day 8 - North West Coastline / Broome
Many believe the Kimberley region is the most visually spectacular in this country and it is easy to see why when you view the dramatic landscapes and vibrant colours of the far north west coastlines. The only way to view this untouched wilderness is by sea or air; today your private aircraft will afford unforgettable views of this isolated region. On arrival, explore the picturesque pearling port of Broome. Accommodation: Cable Beach Club or similar
Day 9 - Broome
Renowned as the treasure of the far north-west coastline, Broome has a fascinating history which will unfold during your stay. Today is free to relax and enjoy the beauty of the endless sands of Cable Beach. Accommodation: Cable Beach Club or similar
Day 10 - Broome / Newman / Ayers Rock
The aircraft heads south-west to Mt Newman providing spectacular aerial views over Wittenoom Gorge before landing at the home of the world’s largest open cut mine. Reboard the aircraft for our flight across the Gibson desert to Uluru. Accommodation: Sails in the Desert
Day 11 - Uluru
Today we spend visiting Kata Tjuta,a collection of 36 conglomerates rising abruptly from the flat red sands. We also do a base walk around Uluru and visit the cultural centre. Tonight we will dine under the stars at the Sounds of Silence dinner. Accommodation: Sails In the Desert
Day 12 - Uluru / Sydney
There is an opportunity to enjoy a sunrise walk around the base of the rock before learning of the Aboriginal myths and legends that surround this giant monolith. Our private aircraft awaits to transport us back to Sydney.
