Nestled amidst the snow gums that border Shakey Knees ski run (ski in ski out), Andre’s at Buller offers luxurious alpine for all seasons. The Chalet has a North Easterly aspect and on a sunny Buller day, the interior of the lodge is bathed in sunshine.
There are four guest rooms at Andre's, each with king bed (or twin singles) and ensuite bathroom. The “mountain view” rooms on the upper level have either a spa or twin shower, and far-ranging views across the Victorian Alps, while the “snow gums” rooms on the lower level have snow gums and the grassy Shaky Knees ski run as an outlook.
The upper level is made for guests to mingle. There's a sitting room surrounding an open fire - the nights are chilly already - and a dining room where a fantastic gourmet breakfast is served at any civilised hour. Andre's French heritage is evident in the exquisite yet simple decor, and the place is immaculate. Rooms are serviced daily and bathrobes, toiletries and hairdryers are supplied.
After enjoying Andre's hearty breakfast, you are ready to hit the slopes in winter (ski-in ski-out), go for a bush walk in summer or just relax - whatever the season. For dinner, try the Grand Chalet, Breathtaker or Uncle Pat's pizza, all a downhill run from Andre's.
