Accommodation at Rundells Alpine Lodge
Rundells Alpine Lodge has now reopened its doors in the heart of Dinner Plain, reviving the sophisticated and gracious hospitality for year round alpine travellers. Experience four star alpine luxury at Rundells boutique lodge, located on Big Muster drive offering 15 elegant Motel style rooms with various bedding combinations to suit couples families or groups.
The well appointed rooms have everything you need including- high quality linen, Aveda shampoo, conditioner and soap products, tea and coffee making facilities with Luken and May biscuits, bar fridge, 82cm plasma televisions in bedrooms, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and hydronic heating. All guest rooms at Rundells Alpine Lodge- Dinner Plain include private access to the indoor spa and sauna and outdoor pool in summer. Rates include cooked to order and continental breakfast at Graze restaurant in Rundells.
Double Room - You have the choice of a cosy Queen room or a larger King split/twin room with ensuite bathroom, relaxing day bed with views of the snowgums. Ground or first floor rooms available.
Triple Room - These separated en-suited spacious rooms with either 3 x Single beds or a King bed and a Single bed are ideal for a group of three travellers. Ground floor rooms are available offering the summer landscape or enjoy the snow laden snow gums.
Quad Room - Features a queen bed with single bunk and separate ensuite + a day bed with views overlooking the the snowgums. Ground floor and first floor rooms make these ideal for families.
Deluxe Quad - When size matters. These are ground floor only, two bedroom suites. The master bedroom features a queen or king bed with magnificent views overlooking the swimming pool. The second bedroom boasts a single bunk, ensuite bathroom and day bed and also offers views.
Note: During winter season - Two night stays Friday – Sunday only. Five night stays Sunday – Friday or Seven night stays beginning on either Friday or Sunday.

Regarded as one of the best restaurants on the Great Alpine Road, Graze offers intimate fire side dining in a sophisticated but relaxed environment blending modern day with the history of the Rundells Lodge. Graze presents exquisite modern cuisine and features local produce complimented by an impressive local wine selection.
Summer 2010 we opened our fabulous new ‘private dining room upstairs’, which can be booked out exclusively for parties between 8- 12 people, it's a beautiful space for private dining overlooking the snowgums. Don't miss Après in Rundells Bar from 5pm before dinner. Choose from our large regional wine selection, range of beers on tap, local schnapps or even a hot Gluhwein.
Graze provides seating for up to 90 in house and external guests. After enjoying a superb meal, you can relax by the open fireplace with your favourite drink as a night cap. Sit back, relax and make yourself at home.
Breakfast Open: 7.30am – 0930am. Feast on a hearty skiers breakfast before hitting the slopes for some serious skiing or boarding action.
Lunch Open: 12.00pm – 2.30pm. Drop back to Rundells for a short rest and light top up lunch before continuing your activities.
Dinner Open: 6.00pm – 9.30pm. In the evening, you don't have to go searching for regional produce, it's all right here for you at Graze offering 3 or 5 course regional degustation dinners nightly from Monday - Saturday. For something more casual, there's a la carte dining in Rundells lounge bar. High Tea is held every Sunday in Graze or Rundells paddock from 1pm.
The Bar and Paddock – With the largest tap beer selection in Dinner Plain, a fantastic range of cool climate wines, cocktails and schnapps, and a large drinks lounge warmed by a massive open fireplace and regular live music, nothing is quite as traditional as an evening at Rundells with a hot gluwein and a cheese platter or choose from the casual menu.

Rundells Bar and Paddock - offers a relaxed space in the fresh mountain air surrounded by snowgums. It is ideal for canapés or cocktail drinks in the afternoon sun, transforming from a relaxed lounge area with a roaring open fire to a party area afterwards. Max 130 guests for cocktail or 90 guests for a buffet reception.
The Loft - Intimate private and secluded dining and lounge with views over the snowy gums. Ideal for pre reception drinks, cocktails or private dining. Max 15 guests for dining Max 25 guests for cocktail drinks.

Winter at Rundells - Dinner Plain
The winter season provides a range of activities and events including downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, snowshoeing and snowplay. A free shuttle bus operates between Dinner Plain and Mt Hotham ski resort (10km) for those who want to ski the mountain. Entry into the Alpine National Park is additional.

Dinner Plain village is located above the snowline at 1520m in the heart of the Victorian Alps, surrounded by Alpine National Park. The village is centrally positioned between Mount Hotham Airport and Mount Hotham Ski Resort only 10minutes each way.
The Dinner Plain village is easily accessible, along Australia's newest touring route, The Great Alpine Road which runs from Wangaratta in the north of Victoria, to Bairnsdale in the south - and Hotham lies in the centre.
Getting to Rundells - Dinner Plain and Mt Hotham
From the South - Melbourne to Dinner Plain
• DRIVE - take the Hume Highway to Wangaratta and then the Great Alpine Road via Bright and Harrietville, travel time is about 4.5 hours. Distance 357km.
• Or take the Princes Highway to Bairnsdale and the Great Alpine Road via Omeo and Dinner Plain, travel time is about 5.5 hours. Distance 457km.
• COACHES depart daily from Melbourne's Spencer Street Coach Terminal and Tullamarine Airport opposite the Virgin Domestic Terminal, Trekset Bus Service will transfer you directly to Dinner Plain and travel via the Hume Highway to Myrtleford, Bright and Harrietville. Travel time is approximately 6 hours from Melbourne city and 5 ½ hours from Melbourne Airport.
• TRAIN and COACH - V-line operate services daily from Melbourne City to Wangaratta. Connect at Wangaratta with Trekset coach service. Actual travel time is around 6 hours, however you will need to add any delay in connection times to the two services.
From the North - Sydney to Dinner Plain
• DRIVE - Take the Hume Highway to Albury-Wodonga and follow the snow signs to Yackandandah then turn off to Myrtleford.
• At Myrtleford turn on to the Great Alpine Road to Bright, then Harrietville and Mount Hotham.
• TRAIN and COACH Departing daily, take the Countrylink train from Central Station to Wangaratta and connect with the Trekset Coach Service for your transfer to Mount Hotham. Actual travel time is around 6 hours, however you will need to add any delay in connection times to the two services.
