Jewels of South Australia Platinum - 5 Days/4 Nights
Day 1
Executive car transfer from your hotel in Adelaide. Depart Adelaide airport for the wonderful Kangaroo Island, where we land and are transported the short distance to the world-class Southern Ocean Lodge. Time to relax and enjoy your surroundings in the opulent Osprey Pavillion complete with your own butler. Enjoy a beautiful Australian dinner with premium wines prepared by the lodge’s private chef.
Day 2
Breakfast in your private pavillion. We then depart on your private day tour of Kangaroo Island with Exceptional Kangaroo Island Tours. We travel throughout the island visiting seal colonies, kangaroos, sea lions and many other native wildlife. Lunch consists of local seafood, fresh salads and wine at a private ‘bush’ location. Dinner at the Lodge.
Day 3
Today we depart for Aldinga Aerodrome and a nostalgic flight in the gentle Waco bi-plane at 1000ft along the southern coastline and McClaren Vale wineries. After lunch we depart for The Louise - a luxury vineyard retreat nestled in the world famous wine growing region, Barossa Valley. Dinner tonight is the degustation menu at the Louise’s highly acclaimed Appellation restaurant.
Day 4
After a leisurely breakfast we take the short flight to start our private ‘Day at the Woolshed’. Here we get to experience first hand, from a real Aussie sheep farmer, how to shear a sheep and work the sheep dogs in the yards - lunch in the woolshed. Mid-afternoon is the 10 minute flight to our destination for tonight - North Bundaleer. This is an indulgent and elegant homestead experience, with its formal en-suited rooms. Although the surroundings are grand, the ambience is relaxed and informal, and creates a natural atmosphere to relax and unwind over dinner after sunset drinks on “the hill”.
Day 5
We depart for Adelaide after lunch today on our final leg of this amazing 5 day itinerary.
