They are the only two, self-catering accommodation retreats in the centre of Port Douglas to each have exclusive use of their own private pool, sundeck and BBQ. Nestled in a lush, vibrant tropical garden that retains some of the original giant rainforest trees, both the Cottage and the Lodge have their own individual tropical character.

The Lodge
Typical of the Queenslander style buildings erected in the Port Douglas area over 100 years ago, The Port Douglas Lodge is a single storey building with wide, shady, cool verandahs, central “bell tower” that enhances the natural airflow and light, exposed timber stud work and high cathedral ceilings.

Two enormous bedrooms, one with queen bed and one with king or two king single beds, are separated by a large comfortable lounge/dining area. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite.

The 5 star luxury of The Lodge is embodied in the quality of the furnishings and fittings which include Widescreen LCD television, DVD and stereo, a full gourmet kitchen (with dishwasher, microwave and stainless steel appliances), and a private laundry with washing machine and dryer.

As a guest of the Port Douglas Lodge you will have exclusive use of your own pool, sundeck and gas BBQ, all set in lush tropical gardens and perfect for outdoor dining under the stars on the balmy tropical evenings. All bed linens, towels and beach towels are provided. The Lodge also features air conditioning, ceiling fans, hair dryer, free local phone calls and a dedicated internet connection.

The Lodge is wheelchair accessible. Children are welcome and free cot or rollaway bed is available if required.

The Cottage
The Cottage is a romantic two storey, stand-alone building constructed in authentic Tropical Queenslander architectural style and featuring 5 star luxury, self-catering accommodation.

Upstairs, The Cottage has an enormous romantic loft bedroom with queen size bed and luxurious ensuite with Roman marble bath and shower. The downstairs living area has all the comforts and facilities one would expect including comfortable quality furnishings, television, DVD, stereo and a gourmet kitchen with microwave and stainless steel appliances.

Venture outside and you have exclusive use of the pool, spa, sundeck and gas BBQ, all set in lush tropical gardens and perfect for outdoor dining. The private first floor sundeck of The Cottage offers glorious sunset views over the mountains of the Great Dividing Range and north to the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest.

Naturally, The Cottage has private laundry facilities and all linen, towels and beach towels provided. This sumptuous package is completed with air conditioning throughout, ceiling fans, hair dryer, free local phone calls and a dedicated internet connection.

An hours’ travel north from the City of Cairns and Cairns International Airport, Port Douglas Cottage and Lodge nestles in the heart of Port Douglas Village. Marina Mirage, the departure point for most of the trips to the Great Barrier Reef and home of even more shops and restaurants, is a short three minute stroll.

Cairns Airport Transfers
On request, transfers to and from Cairns International or Domestic Terminals can be arranged with one of the local transfer companies. Guests will be met at the airport arrivals area and transported to the door. Travel time approx 1 hour.
