Cabarita Ocean Retreat provides a unique experience of wellbeing, fitness and relaxation. Our world class health retreat offers a beachfront location on the North Coast of New South Wales, at peaceful Cabarita Beach between Byron Bay (40 mins drive) and the Gold Coast (20 mins drive). It's a short 25 mins from Coolangatta-Gold Coast Airport, 45 mins to Surfers Paradise, 60 mins from Ballina Airport, and 85 mins from Brisbane.

Opened in November 2011, this retreat offers everything from pampering and massages to detox workouts, specially catered nutritional cuisine and a strict fitness regime. The retreat has incorporated the beach into its program with surfing, fishing and stand-up paddle boarding on offer among its other services.

Next are the Caribbean and Bali Rooms, each decorated with the typical wooden influences from those two countries. Penthouse Suites (4) Our Penthouse Suites located on the top floor are luxurious and the ultimate choice for your stay with us. It is our philosophy to use the best most effective natural products available, so we have chosen the Australian made natural product, called Sodashi which uses only natural sources from the earth and sea, including extracts and essential oils of the purest and highest quality.

We offer both group exercise classes and private sessions. Group classes are a great way to meet other people, motivate each other and share the fun. And with only 12 rooms, even our group classes will never be over crowded. Private sessions will give you one on one attention. Both are a perfect opportunity to learn new ways to assist you to keep up a balanced routine from home.

By Car from Brisbane - proceed south along the Pacific Motorway (M1) towards Sydney. Continue along Tugun Bypass, Currumbin. Continue along the Pacific Highway at Tweed Heads West. Turn off freeway at Chinderah exit onto Tweed Coast Road and follow signs to Cabarita Beach/Bogangar (15 mins). Turn left onto Celerywood Drive (following signs to Cotton Beach) and then first right onto Casuarina Way (no through road), passing Cotton Beach Apartments on the left. Follow Casuarina Way until you come to a dead end. On your right is the entrance to Cabarita Health Retreat.

By car from Sydney - follow the Pacific Highway north towards Brisbane. Turn off freeway at Cabarita Beach/Bogangar Exit onto Clothiers Creek Road. At first roundabout turn left following signs Cabarita Beach/Bogangar. At next roundabout turn right, following signs Cabarita Beach/Bogangar. Follow Clothiers Creek Road onto Rosewood Avenue. At roundabout turn left onto Tweed Coast Road (towards Kingscliff). Turn right onto Celerywood Drive (following signs to Cotton Beach) and then first right onto Casuarina Way (no through road), passing Cotton Beach Apartments on the left. Follow Casuarina Way until you come to a dead end. On your right is the entrance to Cabarita Health Retreat.

By Air - Domestic airlines operate services into Coolangatta-Gold Coast Airport from Sydney, Melbourne and most other major cities. We offer a complimentary shuttle transfer service from Coolangatta-Gold Coast Airport for all guests staying on our 5 and 7 night programs. Please notify us of your arrival time and we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the retreat. If you are staying less than 5 nights we can arrange a transfer for a small fee.

Brisbane airport is 125 kms away and Ballina Airport is 75kms. If you need assistance with transfers from these locations ask at time of booking and we can arrange for you.
