Faithfully and beautifully restored to 5 star indulgence, this mansion has an endearing charm which is enhanced by the unassuming but attention to detail. The house is a beautiful example of stately Victorian living, resplendent with fine antiques, ornate ceiling roses and cornices four poster beds, deep claw foot baths and cosy fireplaces. The fine period decorations and fabrics, together with old-world porcelain pieces and lovely china, silverware and crystal add to the luxurious colonial atmosphere. In either of the five grand rooms - guests sleep in elegant history, surrounded in delightful period furnishings with a few 20th century comforts. Luxuriate in a deep clawfoot bath and snuggle in a magnificent four-poster bed. For those with romance in mind, ask for 'Christina', the boudoir - a front room overlooking the rose garden and onto the harbour. The restaurant offers an intimate evening dining experience for both house guests and a small number of the public. The chef will provide culinary delights using Tasmania’s best local produce to showcase wonderful flavour combinations.

The house has a bar and lounge featuring wine tasting of premium Tasmanian wines. Our cellar is stocked with premium reds from Australia and our dining room is available for light suppers as well as featuring the very best in Tasmanian cheeses to accompany our fine wines.
