Each luxurious Château Élan room is designed for style, comfort and space – up to 124 square metres – and all enjoy stunning views overlooking Vintage fairways and the vales of the Hunter Valley from a private balcony or terrace.

Château Élan at The Vintage has four luxury room options from which to choose.

The Destination Spa Complex accommodates 20 Spa Suites - (52 to 60sq m) designed for singles or couples who require absolute comfort, privileged spa access and total privacy courtesy of an ‘airbridge’. Five Spa Suites have a screened Sanctuary Courtyard for guests who want absolute seclusion. Features unique to spa suites include a Nespresso coffee maker and tea casket, sensual plinth-mounted spa bath that is open to the room, and an ErgoMotion bed with Egyptian cotton linens and silk duvet covers providing massage therapies and a ‘zero gravity’ option for neutral body position. Spa suites are exclusively reserved for adults over 18 yeas of age. Two-storey private villas (10) - lie adjacent to the Spa and enjoy an elevated position overlooking the fairway of the 10th Hole, and offer a total of 80 rooms which can be configured in three ways depending on group size. Spa King Rooms (40) - Wake in your private villa to views of The Vintage fairways and Hunter Valley, seen through the generous glass doors that lead to your balcony or terrace. The open-plan bedroom and living area, plus en-suite bathroom (with spa-bath) amount to 58 square metres of elegant living. Guest parking is located beside your villa. King bed or two king single beds available on request One Bedroom Spa Villas (40) – offer a luxurious fully self contained living space of 96 square metres, with extra-spacious bedroom and bathroom, separate dining and lounge area plus a designer gourmet kitchen with German-made appliances. A two-way open fireplace between living and dining areas lends character as well as warmth in the cooler seasons. Guest parking is located beside your villa. Bedding is king bed or 2 x king single beds are available on request Two bedroom Villas - Spa King Rooms and One-Bedroom Villas can be co-joined to offer a Two-Bedroom Spa Villa for groups of friends or family holidaying together. Enjoy 154 square metres of indoor and outdoor living space, and 2 bathrooms each with a spa bath and separate shower for added convenience. A designer gourmet chef’s kitchen comes fully equipped with high quality appliances and all crockery, cutlery and glassware is supplied. Tony’s big passion is prime meat, which he will go to any length to source; he also prides himself on starting with a fine wine and then creating dishes that best complement. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Legends Grill Restaurant in The Vintage Clubhouse is synonymous with prime quality meat and local Hunter Valley produce. It is situated on the 18th green and open Wednesday to Saturday night. Vintage Café is open daily from 7.30am, serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. The Spike Bar in the Clubhouse is a generous, informal space where you will be served coffee in the morning or alcohol during the day. Our spa menu is an Australian first and one that’s exclusive to Château Élan guests. Much of it is drawn from the distinguished Terraké philosophy spa rituals and uses French Thalgo products. The Fairway: tread a path of rose petals onto manicured greens beside The Vintage golf course’s 18th tee. Your ceremony takes place against a backdrop of greenery, gum trees and valleys of The Hunter. The nearby Barrington Room caters to your guests’ every need.

The Carriage House: a unique alternative to a traditional chapel. Brimming with character, the Carriage House was constructed from hand hewn sandstone blocks rescued from an 1834 Hunter Valley homestead. A truly charming backdrop to your wedding ceremony.

The Summerhouse: the elegant Summerhouse is a vision in white against the fairways and foliage. A gently sloping amphitheatre next to the 10th tee has your guests looking onto a truly memorable picture.

Peppertrees Park: alight from your wedding carriage or limousine into a sweet garden space in the northeast of the estate close to the Beggars Bridge Vineyard. Its elevated position looks over the Hunter Valley, golf course and vineyards, and is within a moment’s drive of the Clubhouse and Barrington Room.

The Paddock: combine the simple honesty of an Australian paddock with the richness of Château Élan hospitality. A note-perfect celebration for many of our guests.

The Barrington Room: sitting beside the Clubhouse at the top of the Vintage Golf Course, The Barrington Room is a modern and elegant interior enjoying views over the manicured 18th green and valley beyond. With a capacity for 110, it is used for hosting receptions but it can also serve for indoor ceremonies. A private terrace framed with gleditsia trees makes an ideal pre-dinner drinks area.

The Founders Room: the largest venue at 300 sqm is located adjacent to the elegant Château Élan Destination Spa. With a modern, elegant interior, the Founders Room can accommodate 240 in theatre-style seating or 330 for cocktails and enjoys views over The Vintage Golf Course. The Founders Room can be split into two event spaces. Proposed opening June 2010.

The Spa at Château Élan has a large, full-service salon equipped to handle all pre-wedding treatments including hair, makeup and nails. Of course there’s also a range of spa treatments to soothe any pre-wedding nerves...

Golf Experience at Château Élan
You might be playing a few holes to loosen up before breakfast, or 18 holes on the day before your wedding, whatever drives you to pick up a golf club, at Château Élan you’ll find the celebrated fairways of The Vintage Golf Course are quite literally on your doorstep. The Vintage Golf Club features an 18-hole Greg Norman designed golf course which has been ranked among the best in Australia and is home to the NSW Open.

The fully serviced driving range is open seven days a week. Practice putting green is located near the Golf Shop and the practice chipping holes are located near the driving range. Leading brand golf clubs are available for hire. Golf Lessons are also available at The Vintage. We have specially tailored packages for everyone. The Pro Shop is open 7 days a week from 7.00am to 6.00pm.

Getting to Château Élan at The Vintage
From the Sydney Harbour Bridge, follow the signs to Hornsby, Newcastle and the North Coast. This will take you to the National Highway 1 (F3 Freeway) entrance at Wahroonga, via the Pacific Highway. Take the National Highway 1 north towards Newcastle, then take the Cessnock/Hunter Valley Vineyards exit, approximately one hour or 100 km from the start of the freeway. Follow the signs to Cessnock and the vineyards, turn left into Broke Road and then right into McDonalds Road. The entrance to The Vintage is located 500 metres past Bimbadgen Estate Winery.
