Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa is the first Australian project for Emirates and the first outside of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located adjacent to the greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa is a world-class conservation-based resort bordered by two National Parks. Inspired by the acclaimed Dubai-based Al Maha Resort and Spa. Spread out at the foot of towering sandstone cliffs, the Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa occupies just two per cent of the 4,000 acres it sits in, so the feeling of space and serenity is omnipresent.

“The combination of the quintessential Australian location, the application of ecological and sustainable guidelines, the opportunity for our guests to participate in wildlife spotting, stargazing, 4WD tours and mountain biking, plus the highest level accommodation is unique.” Joost Heymeijer - General Manager

Whilst international guests expect this high level, the high-end Australian city market will be delighted when they discover Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa as a hideaway or weekend retreat and possibly a venue for corporate training.

Wolgan Valley Resort’s Commitment
Our commitment to the environment is unprecedented for a hotel development in Australia. The emphasis and focus is on sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism. At Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa, we believe in conserving the environment, so that you can enjoy it as nature intended. We are committed to protecting endangered Australian wildlife and plant life through our conservation programme, which includes the regeneration of the Wolgan Valley through the planting of thousands of native trees indigenous to the area, including one of the world's rarest trees, the Wollemi Pine. The Pine belongs to a 200 million year plant family and has been dubbed the botanical find of the century since it was thought to be extinct until discovered again by chance in the Blue Mountains region in 1994.

Restoration work on the 1832 Homestead across the creek from the resort has been overseen by experts in heritage architecture restoration. The historic homestead has been brought back to life to showcase the indigenous, industrial and pastoral history of the Wolgan Valley. The Homestead will be the centerpiece of a heritage precinct, which will include a working kitchen garden, orchard and herb garden.
