Shops and Restaurants on Magnetic Island
Almost anything can be purchased on the island. There are shops in all four main residential bays, including, boutiques, hair salons, newsagents, supermarket, sports store, service station, dive shops, video shops, chemist, souvenir shops, bakeries, butcher, real estate agents, travel agents, coffee shops, general stores, craft shop, galleries, post office, and a credit union. Getting to Magnetic Island
Domestic Airline carriers service the routes from/to all major cities and Townsville daily. On arrival you can take a taxi or the airport shuttle bus to the ferry terminal.

Sun ferries provides the 20 minute Magnetic Island passenger ferry service with regular daily services departing the Breakwater Terminal on Sir Leslie Theiss Drive (close to Jupiters Casino) and arriving at the Nelly Bay Terminal on Magnetic Island. On arrival at Magnetic Island you may take the Island Shuttle service to your accommodation or collect a hire car if you wish. If bringing your own car to the island you will depart with Fantasea Cruising from Ross Street, South Townsville and arrive on the island at Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal.
