Just a few lucky guests will ever experience the magic and unparalleled hospitality of such an exciting wilderness escape, but those who do will be enchanted. Kimberley Coastal Camp is open during the Kimberley dry season from April to October. Rocky and Bella (your hosts) accommodate small numbers of guests to ensure that your holiday is tailored to your interests.
Scattered amongst the red sandstone and native grasses, spacious guest gazebos offer privacy and comfort. Taking full advantage of the tranquil views over Admiralty Gulf, ‘your room with a view', is simple but stylish featuring king size/twin single beds, high quality linen, flyscreened walls and a ceiling fan.
Open to the gentle sea breezes, the heart and soul of Kimberley Coastal Camp is known simply as ‘The Shed’. A large open sided pavilion hand built using recycled timber with high raked ceilings, this is the ideal place to discuss the day’s adventures, relax with a book from the library, listen to some great music or just listen to the waves lapping on the shore.
A large rustic dining table is the scene for those wonderful gourmet meals Kimberley Coastal Camp is famous for. The menu boasts all freshly sourced local produce, passion and flair. Everything is homemade on the premises from the breads and pastries to the jams and pickles. Whether it is wild saltwater barramundi straight from the ocean, succulent oysters plucked from the rocks, delicious mud crabs taken from the mangrove lined creeks or a simple pizza garnished with rosemary and drizzled with olive oil, the cuisine here is guaranteed to inspire. Special dietary needs happily catered for- just advise us before your arrival.
The swimming pool with stunning water views is an ideal place to cool off at the end of the day with an icy drink in hand, prior to pre dinner snacks served with a Kimberley sunset. The open fireplace is the central hub for a chat over your first cuppa in the mornings.

Rock Art at Kimberley Coastal Camp
Kimberley Coastal Camp is situated at the centre of one of the richest repositories of Rock Art in the world. From ancient hand stencils to highly decorative Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) figures and the more recent Wandjina art, these are anthropological sensations and not to be missed.
Bradshaw Art - Visit graceful Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) figures so old they have become part of the rock itself, impervious to the elements and impossible to date using carbon dating technology.
Wandjina Art - With permission from the traditional owners visit Wandjina figures, some of the most visually striking of all rock art images in the Kimberley. It is the belief of Aboriginal people that the Wandjina are the creator beings of the dreaming. They made their world and all it contains.
Entry to these sites is on the condition that the greatest respect is shown to the art and its traditional owners.

There are no roads at Kimberley Coastal Camp and no airstrip. Transport is by boat, helicopter or on foot.
