Welcome to Spicers Retreats, Hotels and Lodges. Every one of our properties is a precious hidden gem - intimate, cosy and completely and utterly unique. Every property is different, yet they all share a dedication to providing luxurious accommodation and a level of world-class service that is both intimate and friendly while remaining acutely professional.

Spicers Canopy is a permanent, private, luxury campsite, sitting on top of a grass covered hill enjoying stunning views towards Mount Mitchell, Spicers Peak and Mount Cordeaux. With no cars, no computers, no television and limited mobile phone coverage, it’s a place where you can truly escape from it all.

NOTE: Children under 8 years not catered for.

Spicers Canopy - Scenic Rim
We are located just a few minutes drive from our famous sister property - Spicers Peak Lodge - from which we gain inspiration for our customer service and cuisine. Catering to adventurers who are accustomed to life’s luxuries, we present a unique luxury safari experience.

With 10 sumptuously appointed free standing Luxury Safari Style Tents, personal space and privacy is assured whilst you can enjoy being immersed in South East Queensland’s stunning landscape.

Each Luxury Tent offers a king-size bed (twin share can be requested) with wonderful pillows and fine linens. Other little luxuries include high quality fluffy towels, highly polished floorboards, armchairs, and bedside tables with lamps.

The large communal and dining area is beautifully appointed with a stone fireplace and polished floors. At its centre is a large custom-made table; the scene of many intimate gourmet meals. The private bathrooms behind the communal and dining area are fastidiously cleaned and their steaming, solar-heated water is a welcome treat after a day’s bushwalking.

Apart from the nearby natural wonders, the heart of this exclusive experience lies in Spicers Canopy’s large communal lounge and dining area. This spacious, luxurious safari-style facility boasts open planning and is beautifully appointed with a stone fireplace, highly polished wooden floors and deeply comfortable lounge chairs.

As is common at other luxurious Spicers properties, a large table forms a special centrepiece in this shared space, around which guests can replay the days activities, groups can enjoy intimate meals or corporate meetings can be conducted.

Spicers Canopy’s stunning mountain views are even more magnificent at sunrise and sunset and you will be surprised how often the canvas colours change while you sit awhile, relax and enjoy a glass of wine.

All Spicers Canopy Packages Include:
• Pick-up from a nearby farmhouse followed by an easy 1½ hour guided walk into the eco site (manageable for most fitness levels)
• Portage of your luggage from the farmhouse to the site
• All meals and beverages, including gourmet breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon tea, evening canapés and a three course dinner
• Dedicated hosts to prepare your meals, service your tents and attend to your every need

Dining at Spicers Canopy
Here at Spicers Canopy dining is unique and catered by our highly qualified staff. Meals have an Australian bush flavour and are prepared using fresh, mainly local ingredients to a standard consistent with Spicers’ gourmet reputation served in the stunning guest lounge/dining room.

In the warmer months, guests can dine on the outdoor deck or even under the stars with mountains and the sounds of nature as a backdrop. While in winter, the fireplace is stoked to burn all night and hearty evening meals are served inside the warmth of the communal lodge building. Packed lunches are perfect the perfect option for guests exploring nearby natural wonders.
